Between 2-8th August, the ‘Projections of Jerusalem in Europe: A Monumental Network’ team at York travelled to Germany and Austria to join an international workshop on ‘Perceptions and Translations of Jerusalem in German and Italian Speaking Areas’.

The workshop was organised by Professor Maria Dorninger of the Universität Salzburg, in collaboration with the European Forum of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and its Center for Austrian Studies. The workshop was generously sponsored by the Universität Salzburg and its Zentrum für Jüdische Kulturgeschichte. Additional support was provided by Stadt:Salzburg, Kultur Land Salzburg, the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Frauen and the Botschaft des Staates Israel.
